Customer's Fault Description
No LED on unit broken when changing batteries remote does not operate shutter
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Zap Roller shutter remote control arrived safely from the West Midlands and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening there were 3 issues, the first was that the battery terminals had signs of corrosion, the second was that the LED was missing and the last was button contact contamination.
The terminals were etched clean, the LED replaced and the button contacts cleared of all contaminants. This restored full functionality.
