It is dead. Replaced batteries but it is still dead
Remote Fixer Repair Response

 This QUAD 99 audio system remote control arrived safely from Sweden and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was found to be due to micro cracks in the print, the print was reworked which restored full functionality (see testing video)
