Merrill maxitrol G30- ZRRTT Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Merrill maxitrol
Model : G30- ZRRTT
Customers Fault Description : I will send the remote and the faulty slave module, can turn the heat up and get a solid led light but when I go down the green light won’t light up, this is a common fault apparently, I see you have fixed some units like this from you trust pilot reviews.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was foudn to be transmitting as per normal operation but hte receiver was not responding correctly.
When the receiver was opened the battery block has signs of a battery leak (see image of blue coloring around the terminal internally). It is important to also note that the battery block in the receiver is not the original battery block meaning that someone has replaced it in the past this is known by the prescence of a whats left of a red ribbon pull which is not native to these receivers (see image)
Due to the receiver suffering a battery leak a repair cannot be carried out due to the erratic nature of possible faults, i.e. it might turn the heater on without intervention.
A google search was carried out and replacement receivers can be found here - https://ebay.us/NSXyhQ - Please check with the seller for details.
