Customer's Fault Description
Remote 1 - it fell from a shelf and it has been fidgety since (it would work fine for weeks and then switch off); the case seems a bit loose: pressing the box is sometimes possible to switch it on
Remote 2 - issues with the touch screen. The cursor for the window opening is not responsive
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two Velux window remotes arrived safely from Hertfordshire and on testing one was confirmed to have intermittent power when moved. The other was confirmed to have parts of the touchscreen non functioning.
The intermittent powered remote was found to have a corroded battery terminal which was causing a resistance to the power. The terminal was replated which restored full functionality (see testing video).
The second remote was found to have a bad touchscreen membrane which sadly make a repair no possible as the touch screens are not available as spares
The payment on this page is for the one repair plus postage.
