Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Garage door remote arrived safely from Saltburn by the Sea and on testing was dead. The batteries were dead that arrived with the remote, when replaced the remote would be transmitting without and button being pressed.
This was found to be due to a large mass of corrosion / contamination over the button array (see image).
The button array was etched clean which restored full functionality, a strong 433mhz signal is present on all buttons (see testing video). Please note that as this item has been submerged in water it "might" require pairing with the receiver on return, this is something we cannot do as it can only be done in the presence of the receiver
A set of Duracell batteries will be supplied fitted on return
