Customer's Fault Description
the battery fitted to the remote losses power within a fairly short period, compared to the battery life. If fitted with a new battery it will operate the power box (drive unit for the inlet gas valve).
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Gazco gas fire stove remote control arrived safely from Heswall and on testing was confirmed to drain power from any battery installed (the supplied battery that came with the remote was dead).  A replacement PCB was fitted which restored full functionality.
