Not sure what is wrong except I have to take batteries out for the fire to go off.

This Mertik Maxitrol RF fireplace remote arrived safely from Northamptonshire and on inspection was found to have low resistance readings across 2 of the buttons causing erratic functionality.

All 3 buttons ere replaced as well as the battery cable which restored full functionality.
