Cannot turn on off, even with new batteries remote does not work.
The fire works without the remote so remote ?fault
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Valor remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead. The battery terminals showed signs of a battery leak.
When opened the oscillator and IR Led was replaced but the dead issue remained. Sadly this led to the conclusion that the issue was with the main IC which is encased in a large black blob of resin making a repair not possible.
We do however have a clone remote available, this looks different to the original but will work the heater. Please see the image below for a picture of the clone available next to an original remote.
