Customer's Fault Description
Tested battery voltage 3.1 Volts (2 × 1.5v AA) OK ACROSS REMOTE BATTERY TERMINALS.
All buttons should light up when remote is physically disturbed.
NO BUTTON LIGHTS.
NONE OF THE REMOTE BUTTONS ARE WORKING.
Hence I think that battery power is not reaching the circuit board?
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Oppo BLUE Ray player remote control arrived safely from Oxfordshire and on inspection the battery cover was missing (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available).
On testing the remote was confirmed to be dead. When opened there was signs of a battery leak in the battery compartment which had started to corrode the print.
The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
