Customer's Fault Description
All the buttons do now is stop the 24hr clock running extra fast. Previously it kept turning on the fire when not wanted. Now with battery replaced it just starts the clock/timer running.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace remote arrived safely from Kent and on adding a battery was found to scan up the time settings without a button being pressed.

This was due to a short circuit button.  All four buttons were replaced which restored full functionality.
