The remote was dropped, batteries appear loose.

This remote arrived safely and on inspection the case was held together with tape and the battery terminals were impacted making the batteries loose.
A replacement case was fitted which had strengthened terminals, this restored full functionality, the batteries will be tight and can be awkward to insert batteries and then put the battery cover on, this is how it is meant to be.
