Customer's Fault Description
No response to remote control from amp. However when the remote is close to other equipment it disrupts their remote controls making them unusable. This includes CD player, av receiver and tv. Although no button is stuck it seems that the remote is continually outputting signal. Only button regularly used is power on/off button.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Musical Fidelity remote controller arrived safely from Nottingham and on adding batteries was found to be transmitting without any button being pressed.
This was found to be due to contamination over the button contacts. The PCB was cleaned using alcohol which removed all contaminant. When re-tested the remote functioned as normal (see testing video)
