PDT KF04-433RC Remote Repair Details
This remote arrived safely and on testing the remote would respond intermittently on some buttons and occasionally the LED would flash rapidly which usually indicates a low battery.
The supplied batteries were removed and when new batteries fitted the control still showed the fault.
On closer inspection to the battery housing there was a "baby vomit" sick strip stuck in the housing on on of the terminals.
This is a clear material that is stuck on new batteries that will make a child vomit if the battery is ingested. This if not removed can cause a "resistance" to the power and creating an under voltage. It would appear that when the customers batteries were inserted this sick strip had attached itself to the terminal causing the issues. The battery housing was cleared of all contaminants and full functionality was restored.
