the remote and receiver are not talking it is possible that the sender in the remote is faulty as it will partially work if the units are a few millimeters away
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This gas fire flavel rocco inset remote control and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was found not to transmit a signal. This was due to a faulty transducer. The transducer was replaced in the remote which restored full functionality.
No fault was found with the receiver.
