This Velux remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have poor button response.

When opened this was found to be due to the button contacts decomposing and contaminating the PCB (see image).  Replacement conductive pads were glued into place under each of the buttons and the PCB cleared of contaminants, this restored full functionality.
