Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely from Hull and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the charging circuit was found to have blown (see image)
This was due to an incorrect or faulty power source being used to try to charge the item.
The IC and resistor was replaced which restored full functionaity. The control was tested through a full charge cycle and the item retained its charge.
IMPORTANT - Please note that this fault WILL happen again if an incorrect power source is used therefore it is advised to not use whatever source was used last time that created the fault, if an incorrect charger is used this fault will happen again and will not be covered by any guarantee. Only a 5V charger with the correct polarity is to be used.
