This Treadmill remote controller arrived safely and on testing was dead.
When the supplied battery was removed the problem was found to be due to the common issue whereby the positive terminal was flattened out of position making obtaining a power source impossible.
The terminal was repositioned correctly which restored full functionality.
The remote will be returned with a brand new Duracell battery inserted (the supplied battery was drained due to the miss aligned terminal "shorting" the terminals, it is extremely important that when it time to replace the battery to make a note of the terminals position otherwise the issue may happen again.
