Customer's Fault Description
After 25+ years the remote has stopped working. It has 2 buttons worked by a rocker panel. Neither work. There is some corrosion on one of the terminals which I have cleaned off but it has made no difference. No wires or contacts appear to be broken.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Mathmos remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have intermittent function.
When opened this was due to corrosion in the print from an apparent battery leak. the print was reworked and both buttons replaced as well as the oscillator, this restored full functionality.
This item was returned in Jan 2023 and on testing was found to be transmitting consistently with the correct code being found. It was tested over a 4 day period with no issue being replicated. This item was then returned 30th Jan 2023 with not fault being found.
