Customers Fault Description : The sensor holding the batteries appears to be missing - hence no contact made.

This Royal fire remote controller arrived safely from Hampshire and on inspection was found to have a badly corroded battery terminal from a battery leak
The terminal was replaced which restored full functionality (see testing video)
