Customer's Fault Description
Sometimes there is no signal from the remote, other times it works and the fire turns on but then to turn the flames up/down or fire off there is no signal again, usually a couple of taps on the side gets it working again but not always.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Kinder remote controller arrived safely from Glasgow and on inspection the case was held together with silver tape (presumably to hold the battery cover into place)
On testing the remote would show erratic button functionality.
All 4 buttons and the battery cable were replaced which restored full functionality. The original battery cable had signs of a battery leak, it is extremely important to not use the old battery in this item and to obtain a replacement (preferably a Duracell battery)
The case was cleaned up after the tape removed.
