Customer's Fault Description
The remote control is the only way of using the heater and it doesn't work even with replacing the batteries. The remote has never had a back on it ever since we bought the house. The remote did work sporadically after pressing the buttons randomly when we first moved into the house but stopped completely last week. 30/11/2022.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to be missing its battery cover, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the remote was found to be dead.
When opened there was a large amount of contamination over the button array / contacts (see image). This was all cleared which restored full functionality (see testing video)
