Customer's Fault Description
Remote was immersed in water. After drying, it initially powered up, but would not open windows. It now will not power up.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening there was contamination over many of the pins of one of the main ICs (see image).
The IC was cleared of all contaminants and also the negative terminals re-plated as it had signs of corrosion.
Full functionality was restored and the RF signal was tested as present (see testing video)
