Customer's Fault Description
Remote doesn’t work properly as the batteries drain very quickly and/or the signal to the fire isn’t very good.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have siffered a battery leak.
This had corroded a couple of the terminals and also blown a SMD capacitor which was draining the batteries.
The terminals were replaced and the capacitor replaced. This restored full functionality.
