Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not working. I changed the bettery but no luck.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Altec Lansing Sound System remote control arrived safely and on testing was foudn not to transmit on any button.
The inserted battery was found to be less than 1 volt instead of 3. Once a fully charged quality battery (Duracell) was inserted the remote was foudn to be functioning as per normal operation.
The remote was then tested over a 2 day period with no faults being replicated.
It appears that the "NewSun" branded battery was at fault, it is important to only ever use branded batteries as many of these cheap brand batteries are dead on arrival.
A Duracell CR2025 battery will be supplied fitted on return.
