Customer's Fault Description
I tried to follow the instructions to fix the problem. The remote is not sending the messages to the appliance. It functions on II, III, IIII only.
Light button, on off and I level don’t work.
I need to use main switch to turn it off.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Westin remote arrived safely from Hornchurch and on testing was found to have misaligned buttons. This was due to a broken mounting pin for the PCB.
The PCB was hot glued firmly into place which restored full functionality to all buttons. There was also signs of contamination on the PCB (see image), this was cleaned up.
The battery cover is missing its retaining clip, this cannot be replaced and doesn't effect functionality but a small piece of tape can be used to prevent the cover falling off.
