The battery section of the remote control seems to have been subject to a small amount of corrosion and the small plate which provides a point of contact between the battery and the main body of the control is now detached.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Fireplace remote controller arrived safely from Newcastle upon Tyne and on inspection was found to have a detached battery terminal.
The terminal was securely refitted which restored full functionality.
