Customer's Fault Description
Remote not working anymore
Tried to fix it myself and applied remote control electric paint on buttons inside but did not resolve the problem.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Onkyo Amplifier remote controller arrived safely from Crosby and on testing was found to be dead.
When opened there were 2 issues found, the oscillator was faulty a replacement was fitted, then it was found that the power button was transmitting without being pressed. This was due to some conductive paint shorting the contacts. The contacts were cleaned up which restored full functionality. (see testing video)
