Customer's Fault Description
Lights on remote come on but very haphazard as to whether the fan will turn on or off accordingly
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Westin Extractor remote controller arrived safely from Wilcot and on testing was found to have dimly illuminated buttons which were intermittent.
The back cover of the remote was found to have been fitted upside down and the mounting pin for the PCB was broken making the PCB move freely inside the controller. This in turn meant that the buttons would not align with the button caps.
The PCB was hot glued firmly into place which restored full functionality.
The back cover was fitted correctly, the battery cover is missing its retaining clip meaning it has to be held on with tape, replacement battery covers are not available as spares.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
