Customer's Fault Description
Remote stopped working altogether recently. Before that it worked intermittently, and only when very close to the CD player.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Arcam CD player (Alpha 5 model) remote controller arrived safely from Surbiton and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
The was found to be due to a faulty oscillator, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
