Customer's Fault Description
Flashing battery light (despite new battery inserted) and initially an intermittent connectivity with the fire itself - sometimes it worked, other times not. Now it is not controlling the fire at all - which we are unable to turn on or off any more. The 4 Batteries inside the fire itself have also been changed - and still nothing operates from the remote control.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Mertik Maxitrol remote arrived safely from Halifax and on testing was found to have a weak signal and erroneous battery indicator.
The regulator and battery cable were replaced which restored full functionality.
