Customer's Fault Description
Remote does not work at all. Appears to be some residue on battery connectors
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Teac HI-FI remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting on all buttons but the play pause button was sluggish.
One of the terminals was found to be rusty form a battery leak.
After talking to the customer it was decided to replace the terminal. This was done and a new conductive pad was glued under the play button. This restored full functionality.
As a precaution the main IC solder was reflowed as this can sometimes cause intermittent functionality on some handsets.
