Customer's Fault Description
My son dropped the remote and the bottom of the internal battery compartment snapped off. This was some years ago. I tried gluing it back on but the glue was unable to withstand the pressure exerted by the batteries. So I rather gave up on the remote and it just sat on a shelf until I came across your website a few days ago. Unfortunately, the snapped off bit got thrown away. That was a pretty silly thing for us to have done, admittedly. Apart from this I believe the remote is functional - I don't think there is anything wrong with the electronics.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This roof-light/sky-light type window remote control arrived safely from Tunbridge Wells and on inspection was confirmed to have a damaged battery housing, A replacement housing was fitted which restored full functionality.
