Put new batteries in and it doesnt come on. I had to use a piece of paper btwn the batterirs the last 2 years to make it work
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Dru Gas Fire remote control arrived safely from Cobham and on inspection was found to have very loose fitting battery terminals making the remote dead.

The terminal were effectively bent out of place.  All 4 terminals were bent back into position then a little solder introduced to give a little extra support.  Full functionality was restored.
