Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Focalpoint fireplace remote controller arrived safely from Stockport and on testing was found to be dead.

On opening there were 2 issues, the IR LED was broken away from the PCB and also the battery terminal was deformed (see image).

The LED was refitted and the terminal reformed which restored full functionality,  it is important to only use a CR2025 in this remote, using any other battery size will result in the deformation of the terminal again and will not be covered by a guarantee.
