No power after dropping
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Mertik Maxitrol fireplace remote arrived safely from Oldham and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to the common issue whereby a SMD diode breaks away form the PCB when dropped.  A replacement diode was fitted which restored full unctionality.
