Customer's Fault Description
The fireplace doesn't respond to the commands from the remote. When I press the buttons on the remote it shows that it is sending the command but the fireplace doesn't respond. I have another remote that the fireplace does respond to, so that's how I know that the receiver is working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Mertik Maxitrol remote arrived safely from Israel and on testing was found not to transmit a signal.
This was due to a faulty transducer, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
