Customers Fault Description : Just seems dead nothing working

This Marantz Surround Receiver 7011 remote controller arrived safely from Bristol and on testing was found to have many non responsive buttons.
On opening there was a large amount of sticky liquid contamination over the PCB and button array. All contaminants were cleared using alcohol which restored full functionality.
