Westin Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Westin
Customers Fault Description : think a button is sticking. We change batteries and it works once, then the next time we go to use it the batteries have completely drained.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Westing Remote control for an extractor fan arrived safely and on adding a battery was found to be transmitting without a button being pressed.
when opened this was found to be due to a small amount of contamination over the PCB (see image), this was shorting out a few components. The PCB was given an alcohol bath to remote all contaminants which restored full functionality.
