The remote stopped working and upon opening up the battery compartment it appears that some wiring has came loose.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Dru Gas Fire Remote Control arrived safely from Carlisle and on inspection was confirmed to have a damaged battery cable meaning the remote was dead.

The battery cable was replaced which restored full functionality (see image)
