Customer's Fault Description
New batteries inserted. No life in remote.
Tried to clean circuit board as something was spilled at a time. Still no life.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Merlin remote arrived safely from Omagh and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was due to a tiny break in the print causing an open circuit. The print was reworked then it was found that the oscillator was faulty. The Oscillator and both buttons were replaced which restored full functionality.
