Customer's Fault Description
Remote can switch on fire but cannot switch fire off. Main gas supply has to be turned off to switch fire off.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Fireplace remote control arrived safely from Yeadon and on testing was found to have a faulty voltage regulator, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.  The battery cable was also replaced as a precaution.
