Simply dead!
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Musical Fidelity amplifier remote controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening there was a crack in the print near on of the terminals, the print was reworked which restored full functionality.
This remote was returned in August 2023 stating that the button functions had changed (i.e. the volume up would turn the remote down). On opening there was signs of contamination in the print which had caused corrosion spots and shorting of button contacts. Even though this was nothing to do with the original fault the board was cleaned up and the print re-masked which restored normal functionality. The item was returned to the customer 4th Aug 20232
