Customer's Fault Description
I have not used the remote for a while, just tried it with new batteries and its completely dead.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Cyrus Audio Hi Fi system remote controller arrived safely from Richmond and on testing was found to be dead.
On opening there was contamination over the internal terminals possibly form a battery leak, this was removed which restored partial funcitonality.
It was then found that a couple of the buttons were "sticking" in when pressed which would cause the remote to transmit permanently.
This was due to contamination between the case and button cap. This was cleared of all contaminates which restored full functionality.
