Customer's Fault Description
Intermittent - recently we have been unable to turn the fire off at all.THe is no beep when buttons pressed .
Changed batteries but makes no difference then all of sudden it works
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Mertik Maxitrol gas fire remote control arrived safely from Millom and on testing was foudn to be functioning as normal.
After talking to the customer it was found that the intermittent issue was caused by the common issue whereby the regulator would give bad outputs which makes the battery indicator show a drained battery even with a brand new battery. This also causes the signal to be intermittently weak.
The regulator and the battery cable were replaced.
