Customer's Fault Description
Fresh batteries have been inserted and the remote is totally unresponsive. Nothing on the screen. The remote hasn’t actually been used much recently as the boiler has been controlled directly on the front panel. It seems to use up batteries very quickly.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Combi gas central heating remote arrived safely from Marford and on testing was found to be working as per normal operation.
The control was tested at random intervals over a 3 day period with no fault being found. There was also no excessive power drain over the 3 days.
It is important to ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly (see image for the correct battery orientation). The spring terminals on these remotes are misleading and has led to many people inserting the batteries incorrectly which will cause the item to not power up.
