Customer's Fault Description
Amp power and volume down not working.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Pioneer Amplifier remote control arrived safely from Rotherham and on testing was found to have various non functioning buttons including the Volume down and Amp Power.

The buttons that the customer notified about were found to be caused by a battery leak which had corroded parts of the carbon print meaning this was repairable.

The other  buttons that were non functioning were the CD Power, Tuner Power CD stop and Play all seem to be caused by the main IC being at fault.

The customer was contacted to inform them of the non repairable buttons and it was decided that as the amp and volume buttons were the main required button it was concluded to go ahead with repairing the buttons.

This was done and also replacement conductive pads glued under the buttons due to degraded contacts.  Functionality was restored to the required buttons.
