Customer's Fault Description
With power on, nothing works on fireplace. Any buttons you press does nothing, only red led on remote.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Flamerite Odyssey mk2 remote control arrived safely from Coventry and on testing was found to transmit on 4 of the buttons with one being non responsive.

All 5 buttons were replaced which restored the button response but then when retested the RF signal had disappeared which was in line with the customers fault description.  A capacitor was found to have broken at one end making an intermittent connection, this was replaced which restored full functionality.
