Customer's Fault Description
The Remote was dropped on the floor by accident.
Straight afterward the on and up buttons not working properly. Lights come on but it does not move the control on the stove.<br />
However, the down button still works perfectly.
Batteries checked and replaced in the handset and gas stove receiver- batteries all working fine, no sign of any corrosion anywhere.
So currently turning the stove up by the manual control and using the remote to turn it down.

Remote Fixer Repair Response
This GAZCO Gas Stove remote controller arrived safely from Harrogate and on testing was confirmed to not be transmitting a signal on the UP channel.
This was due to a faulty 40.5khz crystal, a replacement was fitted which restored full funcitonality.
