Technics RAK-SU129WH Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Technics
Model : RAK-SU129WH
Customers Fault Description : The remote no longer activates any of the features on the equipment that it used to - amplifier (SU-A900 mk II), CD player (SL-PS7) and tuner (ST-GT550 . Absolutely nothing responds.
Batteries changed and checked. No difference. Note I have looked at the remote with a camera and can see the infra-red lens 'firing' when the buttons are pressed. But still no response from any of the equipment.
The system is a second system used occasionally and I vaguely recall the remote may have been dropped 2-3 feet onto a hard floor.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Technics remote arrived safely from Cambridge and on testing was found to transmit a scrambled code.
This was due to a faulty oscillator, once a replacement was fitted full functionality was restored.
