Customer's Fault Description
Vol up & vol down buttons intermittent (takes an unfeasibly hard press to function) also "tv - system standby" not working (is a two button simultaneous press and neither button is used for anything else so I don't know which button doesn't actually work)
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sony AV sound system remote control arrived safely from Reading and on testing was confirmed to have sluggish / non responsive buttons.
This was due to them being the most commonly used buttons which has led to worn contacts.
Replacement conductive pads were glued under the effected buttons which restored full functionality.
